Mixed Microplankton

Any plankton haul near the surface of the sea brings in a huge variety of life forms. Seen in this concentrated form it reminds us from how wide a spectrum of kingdoms, phyla, classes and orders the community is comprised. Plants, animals, larvae, adult, vertebrates, invertebrates, carnivores and herbivores are all present.
