The auricularia larva is so named because it looks like an ear. It is the larval stage of the Holothuroidea, sea cucumbers. This is a late stage showing well developed cilliary band, mouth, stomach, anus, ossicles, sucker and echinus rudiment, from which the adult sea cucumber will develop.
