Photograph by Roger Steene Spider crabs have a wide range of anatomical variations and are generally slow moving, cryptic animals, often using material from their surrounding habitat as camouflage. Others mimic their backgrounds without the use of additional material, such as this species, which closely resembles the colour of the sea fans on which it is found.
